About the job:
To provide crisis stabilization and assessment services for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities. To provide Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) for 5 youth ages 13 to 18 living in a community based residential setting. To provide training and supervision to support staff to enable the youth to develop adaptive skills so they can live, learn and participate in the community.
Responsibilities:
Assess behavioral needs using functional behavioral assessments, develop and implement behavioral support plans, assess and modify plans in response to changing behavioral health needs of individuals served.
Provide hands-on and administrative training by supervising the general behavioral needs of each individual served while promoting a person-centered approach to behavioral supports.
10 hours per week per youth should be dedicated to implementation of behavior support interventions and activities.
Interact with support staff and administration to ensure continuity, accurate timely documentation and coordination of care.
Document information and interventions in accordance with Department of Children and Families (DCF), Medicaid and ALLIES, INC. requirements.
Communicate effectively with manager, support staff, youth, families and outside agencies as appropriate. Participate in person-centered treatment team meetings including monthly treatment team meetings. Attend staff meetings as assigned.
Provide training for individuals served in the areas of managing behavioral needs.
Conduct on-going training for support staff on specific behavioral support methods and plans related to the specific needs of the individuals served.
Review the implementation of approved treatment plans/programs.
Respond to crises and provide interventions as needed, including but not limited to hands-on restraints if required.
Review pertinent records of individuals on a need-to-know basis, while following HIPAA (Health Information Portability Accountability Act of 1996) guidelines.
Recommend policies and procedures on behavioral support/intervention/planning as new methods become available.
Participate in appropriate professional growth and continuing education opportunities.
Works with each individual's treatment team, Child Family Team (CFT) and all other interested parties to build self-esteem and social capitol for each individual served.
Be on-call as directed by agency administration.
Other duties as assigned.
Salary Range: $82,000-$85,000

Requirements
Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, Sociology, Guidance and counseling, Social Work, or other behavioral science program.
At least one year of experience in the development and implementation of Behavior Support Plans, Functional Behavior Assessments and related assessments (preference assessments, reinforce assessments, etc.)
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required.
