The BCBA will provide direct therapeutic services, collaborate with client and their support teams, complete behavior therapy assessments, create individual behavior support/enrichment plans, ensure effective implementation of the behavioral plans through consultation, supervision and training of direct care staff, implement all relevant policies and procedures, and promote skills for healthy relationships that help people thrive. The BCBA is responsible for adhering to professional and legal requirements and principles as well as demonstrating sound professional judgment at all times. As a part of the Behavioral Health pillar, the BCBA will adhere to the Mission, Vision, and Values of the Pioneer Center and philosophy of the Behavioral Health pillar. This philosophy emphasizes Trauma-Informed Care, Evidence-Based Practices, Strength-Focused Treatment, and Client-Centered Services. To achieve these standards, the BCBA and all members of the Behavioral Health pillar must attend ongoing internal and external trainings and contribute to a culture of collaborative learning. Essential Functions Statement(s) Provides center-based, in-person Applied Behavioral Analysis services people with intellectual/developmental disabilities Consistently spends 80% of time providing direct service (typically 32 of 40 hours per week) Complete all documentation in the electronic health record, including billing data, accurately and concurrently, which is defined by within 24 hours of service delivery Learns and implements Trauma-Informed Care and Evidence-Based Practices Uses strength-focused treatment planning to collaboratively create goals and objectives Completes functional behavioral analysis and assessment using input from people and their support networks and integrates information into Behavioral Intervention Plans in collaboration with the same Presents behavioral intervention plans and obtains approval from required committees Monitors and documents behavioral intervention plan progress and shares updates with people and their support network Develops linkages in the community by networking with other service providers Facilitates or participates in case consultation or staffings with other service providers Provides service in a professional manner and communicates with staff, clients, families, and other agencies involved with the client. Collaborates with people and their support network to develop effective strategies to promote skills for healthy relationships Trains team members and support network to ensure effective implementation of behavioral intervention plan and appropriate response to crisis intervention and provides ongoing feedback related to adherence to plan Participates in and makes clinical recommendations to the admissions committee for referrals to the agency • Regularly meets with Director of Behavioral Health Services to discuss client caseload, productivity, goals and progress, and adherence to policy and procedures. The BCBA will be responsible for completion of treatment plan development and implementation, data collection, and behavioral intervention in individual treatment of our clients. The BCBA will assist the treatment team and other members as designated, in the creation of behavior intervention plans and is responsible for maintaining documentation of all services provided. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, ongoing RBT supervision, parent training and other ABA-related tasks. A qualified BCBA must have at least 6 months of experience and be proficient at behavior reduction and skill acquisition strategies as well as possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will assess, develop, implement, and document positive behavior treatment plans to be used across settings, reducing over time as skills develop. The goal of the treatment plan will be to equip the patient to communicate his/her needs, participate in age-appropriate activities and have behavior inventions which reflect position approaches. BCBA Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Functions in a supervisory capacity and provides guidance to all areas of programming including training of RBTs and BCaBAs, as well as creation and revision of behavior plans for patients. Completes assessments and develops appropriate behavior plans to address caregiver and therapist concerns. Provides ongoing support and training of behavioral intervention to the other members of the child’s therapy team and family/caregiver support members. Provides detailed daily treatment notes in EMR system and ensures daily billing of services provided. Provides direct 1:1 care for a small portion of expected billing hours to model appropriate implementation of ABA strategies. Make appropriate referrals for additional patient services, as needed. Completes all required documentation and supervisory requirements as stated by state board for RBT and BCaBA supervision. Participates in therapy and companywide meetings as scheduled. Completes continuing education requirements to maintain professional license. Complies with federal, state, and local certification requirements. Other duties as assigned by management.
